Therapy

I was trained as a generalist, which means that I work with a wide range of people and concerns, although my practice tends to focus on individual therapy with adults. Within this generalist framework, I work most often with issues related to:

I view the foundation of successful therapy as really seeing you and your situation, establishing a relationship where you feel understood, and then determining the best way to address your concerns. I try to create a safe space to explore what is causing you distress and work with you to make connections between the past and your current situation. We then work together formulate a vision and solutions that utilize the strengths that you currently possess.

Sessions are 55 minutes long, and my rate is $190 per session, with an initial intake fee of $225. Some insurance companies reimburse for my services, including United Healthcare Student Resources, the student insurance at the University of Illinois. I am also on the provider panel for Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO. Please contact your insurance company directly before we meet to determine what coverage you have, as well as any deductible and copay you will need to pay.

If you need to cancel a session, please allow at least 24 hours notice. If you do not show up, you will be responsible for the full session fee; insurance companies will not reimburse for missed sessions.

For clients I see via telehealth, the link below takes you to my virtual waiting room.
